Buzz arrived in Melbourne just two weeks ago and in that time we have seen our daughter planted in a lovely apartment in a great town, secure employment and settle into a loving church. Isn't that what our 'trip around Australia' is all about? Aren't we believing for this kind of success for every soul the Lord leads us to? To achieve it, we have to be willing to dedicate as much prayer, time and love into others as we've invested into our own daughter. It's a startling revelation. We're called to love others with as much devotion as sown into our own child. How can we love strangers - the unlovely, the unkempt, the isolated, with such passionate furvour as we dedicate to our own felsh and blood? It's impossible!
Yet God's Word promises, "What is impossible for you, is possible for Me" and "Nothing is impossible for those who beleive."
And so we are called to rise to a new challenge... to truly love, as Christ loves us, those around us. We're not too busy, we don't have a tight schedule; we are without excuse, given all the time in the world, to elevate our thinking and expectations, to rise to our call, "GO... tell them I love them" and love unconditionally, wholeheartedly - for as long as it takes.
So come on, partner with us and let's change this nation, one loved, beatuiful person at a time!
We're Cruising Oz
Chrissy and Steve, travelling evangelist hippies, are an ‘untameable’ married couple who responded to Jesus' call to "GO - tell 'em I love 'em" by selling what we owned - except our 1985 LiteAce van affectionately known as Buzz - and hitting the road in February 2009.
We basically cruise this country helping individuals, communities and churches in whatever ways we’re able to tap into the love of God. We do this through helping, giving, clothing, feeding, cleaning, serving, encouraging, imparting, preaching, running seminars and anything else we can think of to creatively demonstrate God's love. We don’t see this so much as a ‘mission from God’ but more a natural expression of who we are!
God loves His kids and chose us to go and show ‘em – it’s that simple.
