We're Cruising Oz

Chrissy and Steve, travelling evangelist hippies, are an ‘untameable’ married couple who responded to Jesus' call to "GO - tell 'em I love 'em" by selling what we owned - except our 1985 LiteAce van affectionately known as Buzz - and hitting the road in February 2009.

We basically cruise this country helping individuals, communities and churches in whatever ways we’re able to tap into the love of God. We do this through helping, giving, clothing, feeding, cleaning, serving, encouraging, imparting, preaching, running seminars and anything else we can think of to creatively demonstrate God's love. We don’t see this so much as a ‘mission from God’ but more a natural expression of who we are!

God loves His kids and chose us to go and show ‘em – it’s that simple.

HEALING IN BRE

Four wonderful relaxing days in Brewarrina, a small, 78% indigenous, outback town 100k from Bourke, camped beside the river at 4mile reserve saw us refreshed and renewed.  We're not sure whether to call these times along rivers, relaxing, (more stick whittling for Steve), bush walking, bird watching, 'camping' in Buzz, 'time out' or 'time in'.  They are 'time out' from work and lotsa people but they are 'time in' with God through Scriptures, teaching books, prayers, nature, warfare and simply sitting listening at His feet.
Chrissy has been in pain with a toothache for more than six weeks and finally managed a dentist appointment in Bre (8.30am!). Much prayer and begging had gone up to God to 'heal' the tooth.  God gave me a healing in a different, and much deeper way.  i wanted the tooth healed because of my fear of dentists (truly, the mere thought could send this mighty warrior woman into a blubbering wimp).  God, in His infinite wisdom, used the time to HEAL MY FEAR instead.  Isn't it just like God to get to the heart of the matter!  I'm thankful for the lesson and the release.  Fear is such an insidious thing - there's no room for it in people of FAITH. What a generous, gracious (clever) God He is.  So, one wisdom tooth gone from my mouth, but a much wiser woman emerges.  Go figure!
