We're Cruising Oz

Chrissy and Steve, travelling evangelist hippies, are an ‘untameable’ married couple who responded to Jesus' call to "GO - tell 'em I love 'em" by selling what we owned - except our 1985 LiteAce van affectionately known as Buzz - and hitting the road in February 2009.

We basically cruise this country helping individuals, communities and churches in whatever ways we’re able to tap into the love of God. We do this through helping, giving, clothing, feeding, cleaning, serving, encouraging, imparting, preaching, running seminars and anything else we can think of to creatively demonstrate God's love. We don’t see this so much as a ‘mission from God’ but more a natural expression of who we are!

God loves His kids and chose us to go and show ‘em – it’s that simple.

RODEO & ART !?

Talk about diverse - on Saturday night the family hit Moruya for the bullriding rodeo (where my crazy daughters decided to kissfish during our photoshoot, thus deserving a place on the blogspot!) and Sunday we were running an artshow at Southland Christian Church...  From crashing to culture, from bruises to brushes!  Southland Christian Church is run by our daughter Cassia and her hubby Ps Garren Walton, and has the most inspirational, out-looking, community-minded vibe that its a total excitment to be a part of it.  Their focus is BEYOND - which is a vision for every-day encounters as Jesus-with-skin-on in Batemans Bay, NSW, Australia and the world - encouraging all to look BEYOND toward the harvest. The art exhibition was a big hit - with the walls of the building we call church filled with colour. Phillip Thurston (affectionately known as Burg) was one such inspirational artist.  His creations are breathtaking, and the stories behind his work are mind-blowing! Burg's gifts and potential cannot be emphasised enough! Burg often features on our website as he played a major role in creating Buzz's artwork. He is an extremely capable, delightful Christian character with many special talents and I would recommend anyone commissioning him!
