We're Cruising Oz

Chrissy and Steve, travelling evangelist hippies, are an ‘untameable’ married couple who responded to Jesus' call to "GO - tell 'em I love 'em" by selling what we owned - except our 1985 LiteAce van affectionately known as Buzz - and hitting the road in February 2009.

We basically cruise this country helping individuals, communities and churches in whatever ways we’re able to tap into the love of God. We do this through helping, giving, clothing, feeding, cleaning, serving, encouraging, imparting, preaching, running seminars and anything else we can think of to creatively demonstrate God's love. We don’t see this so much as a ‘mission from God’ but more a natural expression of who we are!

God loves His kids and chose us to go and show ‘em – it’s that simple.

CASCADING STARS

Have you ever seen a sky so big,so huge & so full of stars they formed a waterfall cascading down to the very ground you were marvelling upon?Wow. Western NSW can give you those skies –clear, enormous & breathtaking! Such was the experience for us at Gooband National Park after we left Condobolin. We spent a coupla days in said National Park relaxing, bushwalking, identifying (or not identifying) birds, sitting by the fire at night, basking in the sun by day & marvelling at the ultimate PEACE when you are the only people on earth!  Ah, we simply love those times. As we sit side by side, united, without a word spoken, we understand the significance of Jesus' desire to 'leave the crowd and pray alone on a mountain'.The rejuvenation only received by 'being still and knowing He is God' cannot be obtained through a quick whip-up prayer that's often all you have time for in the peak of ministry.Photo: Chrissy 'exploring' Uniting Church Inverell.
