We're Cruising Oz

Chrissy and Steve, travelling evangelist hippies, are an ‘untameable’ married couple who responded to Jesus' call to "GO - tell 'em I love 'em" by selling what we owned - except our 1985 LiteAce van affectionately known as Buzz - and hitting the road in February 2009.

We basically cruise this country helping individuals, communities and churches in whatever ways we’re able to tap into the love of God. We do this through helping, giving, clothing, feeding, cleaning, serving, encouraging, imparting, preaching, running seminars and anything else we can think of to creatively demonstrate God's love. We don’t see this so much as a ‘mission from God’ but more a natural expression of who we are!

God loves His kids and chose us to go and show ‘em – it’s that simple.

THE NEXT VENTURE – September .. Olive Tree

We have said yes to volunteering 3days per week at Southland Church's newest OUTREACH - an Art Gallery, Coffee House named  'The Olive Tree',  for the next six months (September 2010 to February 2011).

This involved us needing more space than Buzz provides (eg: having anything more than just a bed!) and God took care of everything for us.  While we were uncontactable in the bowels of the bush in Qland, oblivious and out-of-range: - Southland found us a studio apartment to rent  in Surfbeach.  One room – just a bigger Buzz really, WITH a kitchen (we fall asleep to the buzz of the fridge beside our heads) and a bathroom!  We are beside an oval, with a creek and bush behind us, and 5mins stroll to the beach.  It is a funky little place (we're not sure if we sleep in the kitchen or dine in the bedroom!) that'll 'house' us during this phase of adventure.

Thrilled and excited about having the opportunity to add value to people's lives, and help bring them into the presence of God through the ministry within this delightful little heritage building on Beach Road in Batemans Bay…. The adventure continues – to infinity and BEYOND! (As only God does, there's some irony in Buzz LiteYear's famous catchcry, as 'Beyond' is the name given to any outreach into the community done by Southland Church - BEYOND represents Missionary Work!)  Yeah, we are meant to be here for now!
