We're Cruising Oz
Chrissy and Steve, travelling evangelist hippies, are an ‘untameable’ married couple who responded to Jesus' call to "GO - tell 'em I love 'em" by selling what we owned - except our 1985 LiteAce van affectionately known as Buzz - and hitting the road in February 2009.
We basically cruise this country helping individuals, communities and churches in whatever ways we’re able to tap into the love of God. We do this through helping, giving, clothing, feeding, cleaning, serving, encouraging, imparting, preaching, running seminars and anything else we can think of to creatively demonstrate God's love. We don’t see this so much as a ‘mission from God’ but more a natural expression of who we are!
God loves His kids and chose us to go and show ‘em – it’s that simple.

EARTH ART @ OLIVE TREE
The Olive Tree Art and Coffee House (situated on Beach Road, Batemans Bay. Open 10-3 Thursday, Friday, Saturday) has been functioning for four days now - and we are loving our ministry here. It is proving such a wonderfully successful venture for the Southland Church as far as connecting with the community. Many locals, artists and art appreciators alike, are popping in to say 'hi' and 'thanks' and to savour Steve's delicious coffee. We are able to sit and chat with people and would you believe, already have a coupla 'regulars' haha!
We feel like we're still on the road in many ways - we park Buzz outside The Olive Tree Art and Coffee House, head inside and set up ready for people to 'drop in' and have a chat. We sit and rave with so many people we haven't had to change much of our lifestyle!
EARTH ART
Of course, many of you know we said 'yes' to outreach at The Olive Tree on a voluntary basis; so generating an income was fairly essential for us. And, as usual, God has that covered too! (we so never need to stress about life when we place it in His hands!)
We are now the proud creators of a little business we've called Earth Art by Steve and Chrissy - where we basically make jewellry, headbands, braclets; and wall hangings and windchimes; and minature pictures out of leather, rocks, shells, coral, feathers, nuts, seeds, seaweed, and anything else we can find in nature added to treasures scouted through Op Shops. I guess our catch-cry is that It's completely Aussie. It's affordable! Every single item is handmade, unique, individual, different and collected from our travels around Oz.
We hope to sell these items and generate a sustainable income during the 6months we are volunteering here in Batemans Bay, NSW South Coast. To make a purchase or receive more information/photos of art etc, contact our email goguinoz29@hotmail.com
We are blessed to be able to combine the above two ventures - and have our EARTH ART displayed and for sale at THE OLIVE TREE.
Now tell me God isn't in that one!!!!
