We're Cruising Oz

Chrissy and Steve, travelling evangelist hippies, are an ‘untameable’ married couple who responded to Jesus' call to "GO - tell 'em I love 'em" by selling what we owned - except our 1985 LiteAce van affectionately known as Buzz - and hitting the road in February 2009.

We basically cruise this country helping individuals, communities and churches in whatever ways we’re able to tap into the love of God. We do this through helping, giving, clothing, feeding, cleaning, serving, encouraging, imparting, preaching, running seminars and anything else we can think of to creatively demonstrate God's love. We don’t see this so much as a ‘mission from God’ but more a natural expression of who we are!

God loves His kids and chose us to go and show ‘em – it’s that simple.

steve's wisdom

STEVE'S WISDOM:

·          Life can be incredibly good and desperately bad even at the same time – and that's just life.

·          If you're involved in any ministry where God is doing stuff and changing lives, don't be complacent and forget that there is a real enemy and he would like nothing more than to see you destroyed.

·         The Word of God is still powerful and effective and the enemy has no way of fighting against it.

·         When God said that He would never let up on my personal development and maturity – He really meant it – even when I'm NOT especially focused on it.

·         You can't always tell when a person is going through their 'dark night of the soul', so be careful not to assume you know anyone that well.

·         If I'm to stay healthy and well-adjusted, I need genuine intimacy with my family and friends.

·         Always try to keep the main thing – the main thing – and that's people and relationships.

·         We're called to share one another's burdens – not carry them – that's God's job.

·         That which doesn't kill me, makes me stronger – but it still might kill me if I don't learn the lessons I need to, and stay vigilant.

·         God's OK with all of my weaknesses and failings and His love and grace never run out on me.

·         Life's too short, people die when you don't expect it – it sucks and it hurts – so don't take people for granted, but love them well so that you won't have regrets.

·         Do what you know you've gotta do, because there's no escaping it if you want to live in peace.

·         The simple, uncomplicated life still beats the hell out of anything else on offer.
