Vinny enjoyed a Chinese meal of dumplings and sauces prepared by Steve and served to him with chopsticks in the park where he has set up his 'home' - as far as a collection of plastic bags can be classified as 'home'.
Steve saw him again today... and he is still smiling.
I did some homework and found a heap of organisations who provide from food or a bed to shelter or employment advice/training, mostly for free - it's quite an extensive list, and something I was pleased to discover. I'm looking forward to passing it on to Vinny on our next trip to the park and leaving it in his hands. I cannot force this man to live any way other than what he is comfortable with for now, but at the same time I can't just leave him there without offering whatever help we can provide.
It is freezing here now - it hailed yesterday... and if snowflakes began to fall, let's just say that most of us 'frozen ones' would not be surprised.
We have left jordi to her little apartment in fitzroy and are back in camberwell.
The next phase in the rough plan? ... Healesville next week... and, after the big announcement - woohoo!!! it is back to Ulladulla NSW the following week to celebrate our son Caleb's and his fiancee Tess' engagement!!

We're Cruising Oz
Chrissy and Steve, travelling evangelist hippies, are an ‘untameable’ married couple who responded to Jesus' call to "GO - tell 'em I love 'em" by selling what we owned - except our 1985 LiteAce van affectionately known as Buzz - and hitting the road in February 2009.
We basically cruise this country helping individuals, communities and churches in whatever ways we’re able to tap into the love of God. We do this through helping, giving, clothing, feeding, cleaning, serving, encouraging, imparting, preaching, running seminars and anything else we can think of to creatively demonstrate God's love. We don’t see this so much as a ‘mission from God’ but more a natural expression of who we are!
God loves His kids and chose us to go and show ‘em – it’s that simple.
